Innovators for Purpose
Innovators for Purpose is a BIPOC-led nonprofit organization in Boston that supports young people, especially those from underrepresented communities, in developing the skills, confidence, and vision to create positive change.
The Akamai Foundation is a longtime supporter of iFp’s hands-on projects at the intersection of art and design, STEM, and social impact, in which participants address pressing societal challenges while building technical capabilities.

The Akamai Foundation supported the AI and CS Innovation Lab within iFp Studios, where students gain technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and industry exposure in game development, web development, and AI. Over the past four years, iFp has refined a hands-on, project-based learning model that immerses students in real-world software development while fostering confidence in their ability to shape the future of technology. Studios are a paid internship opportunity in which students learn to uphold professional standards of reliability, responsibility, and accountability.
